I don’t know about everyone else, but I always thought Staryu and Starmie looked pretty non-organic.
Had a go at making my ideal smash roster. Blue are veterans, red are unlockable veterans, green are newcomers and yellow are unlockable newcomers. Tried to keep it somewhat realistic, with 46 characters, 11 newcomers. Snake, Ike, Wolf, Ivy + Squirt cut, but possibly the Zelda newcomer could be replaced with either Wolf or another Mario newcomer.
In terms of the popular choices, I went with Sylveon instead of Mewtwo because I think they’d bring more to the table gameplay-wise, hopefully as a successor to Ivysaur with ribbons instead of vines, Prince Fluff instead of Bandana Dee because I imagine there’s a lot of fun things they could do with a yarn-based moveset, aaaand Dixie instead of K Rool because, unless I’m mistaken, K Rool doesn’t appear in the new games, plus we need more non-human females. I’m not really expecting any of these too much, but hey.
I’m in too deep now, there’s no escape from the great roster debate
FUCK. I FINALLY FOUND IT AGAIN
I’VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS GEM FOR AGES
IT’S SO FUCKING FUNNY
Lyle and his crew have seen some things. Dark things. Messed up things. No more basement grades from ol’ Lyle and the gang. Never again. Not after last time.
Going to try to make a minimum of 20 speed paints before this Wednesday. BRING IT ON >:V (im probably going to fail)
Everyone has that one Pokemon region they connect to on a spiritual level
The more I think about it from a gameplay perspective, the less I want Mewtwo in the new Smash - the less I want three characters from the same series to just be so similar to each other. I mean yeah they wouldn’t quite be clones of each other exactly, but Greninja and Lucario’s attacks look as though they will function similarly enough to each other as it is, and Greninja seems pretty close to the melee Mewtwo with its teleport and generic charging projectile, plus (I’m assuming) its large size and light weight. For a series with such a degree of diversity in its characters it seems kinda wasteful in my opinion, especially as Brawl gave us such a unique trio in the Pokémon Trainer’s Pokémon.
Don’t get me wrong, Mewtwo is cool, hell, I mained him in Melee, but I just feel his inclusion in the new games would be a waste of a slot when there’s so much more they could do with some other Pokémon character. I’d say it’s a lot more important to consider characters based on their potential gameplay and not just their popularity, in my opinion.
And don’t even talk about cutting Jiggz, her playstyle is one of the most unique ones in the game.
A gameshow that forces male nerds into the unnecessarily sexualized outfits female video game characters have that they defend as “practical,” and then makes them do agility training
